Summary[edit]

Description
English: Schematic showing the three humors in ayurveda (pitta - vata - kapha ) and the "5 great elements" that they are composed from. Schematic was made based on: The schematic was made using http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/32/Pentacle_1.svg Regarding the colors, these were basically taken from http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fd/7-main-Chakras-illustrated-by-Gil-Dekel.jpg , since chakra's are initially based on the tree dosha's (see http://naturalhealthyremedies.com/ayurveda-natural-healthy-remedies ). The colors were figured out by means of color mixing/intermediate colors theory. The main dosha colors were generally followed (green for vata, red for pitha, (dark) blue for kapha), see http://www.sangha-reiki.com/Sangha-Ayurveda/figuren/Tri-doshas/tridosha.gif , regular colors for the elements were also taken by looking at the various schematics (see links above; ie http://www.spalavanya.com/images/elements_dosha.gif , ...) and slightly modified based on the color mixing theory.
