Summary[edit]

Description
English: Andrey Avinoff in court dress who served in the diplomatic corps for Czar Nicholas II, as seen here sometime around 1910 or so. He also served in two incremental governments on behalf of Russian interests to President Woodrow Wilson and as the a translator / diplomat for Russian interests in the Treaty of Versailles as Czar Nicholas II had abdicated the throne.

Source Photo used with permission from my father, Alex Shoumatoff, and my aunt from the inherited collection belonging to Elizabeth Shoumatoff > Nicholas Shoumatoff and passed to his daughter Antonia Shoumatoff (wikipedia user ToniaShou), and in turn, to her nephew Andre Shoumatoff (wikipedia user dieselcruiserhead). Copyright made available by Tonia Shoumatoff for non-commercial uses only, at this time. Photo first appeared printed in 1983 in 'Russian Blood' a book by Alex Shoumatoff about our family.
