PETER HENDERSON & CO., NEW YORK.-PLANT DEPARTMENT. 47 .—Continued. Louis Boehmer. (Pink "Ostrich Plume " variety.) Exquisite shade of silvery pink, deep rose on the in- side of the petals, the outer surface /\ studded with a fleecy growth. ^.Cashmere. Base of petals light crim- son, upper part rich amber; a novel and distinct variety. Pres. Wm. R. Smith. Color of Day- break Carnation, a pure self pink; very heavy in substance, on stiff stems; especially fine for cut flowers and exhibition blooms. Mrs. Alpheus Hardy. (White " Ostrich Plume " variety.) Purest white, and exceptionally large and well formed when properly grown. Thickly stud- ded with a feathery growth. Maud Dean. An extra-large flowered variety, petals broad and incurving, perfectly double and of great sub- stance ; color pink, almost rose, a shade not found in any other variety. A model variety for cut flower pur- poses in form, size, color and stem. Julius Roehrs. A rich shade of violet rose, the reverse of the petals silvery pink. Amber Queen. Soft amber with deeper shadings; of exquisite form and very full; petals reflexing till the depth is wonderful, while the centre is still finely rounded. Judge Hoitt. The greatest novelty in seedlings of recent years; an "anemone" fully eight inches across; color, pale pearl pink; the outer petals are broad and incurving, some three rows in depth. Joey Hill. Color, deep cardinal red of beautiful shade, faced with old gold; / the outer petals are flat, showing / the color to good advantage. T^SVIiss Mary Wheeler. Large perfectly .A. formed flower; white. j^MUe. Marie Hoste. Creamy white, striped amaranth. Roslyn. A superb, clear, Mermet rose pink, petals thick and heavy, cup-shaped, solid to the centre, immense in size, having been exhibited eleven inches across; habit the best, stems stiff and erect, foliage luxu- riant ; the best pink in commerce. Eda Prass. Light salmon ; very pretty. Good Gracious. The color is unique, being a delicate shade of peach pink throughout. The form is remark- able, the petals are incurved and twisted, overlapping each other in irregular fashion, and resembling talons. Of all the splendid varieties introduced from Japan this is perhaps the most remarkable for size, form and color, and stands alone in its beauty, there being nothing at all approaching it. 25c, each, $2.25 doz. Large plants 50c. each, $4.50 doz. SPECIAL NOTE. "Want of space in this catalogue will not permit us to list our full collection of Chrysanthemums. We have in stock, however, all the varieties offered in our spring catalogue of " Everything fob the Garden, " and can supply them at the prices quoted therein—plants from 2-in. pots which will flower this season if procured before October 20th. If the selection is left to us, we can furnish a grand assortment at $1.50 per doz., $8.00 per 100.

G012BEN * * * * WEBBING. ()o NATURAL SIZE.) This is undoubtedly the grandest golden yellow variety ever introduced and is the marvel of the period. It is a remarkably vigorous grower and has such strength of stem that it carries its great globular flowers erect, giving it a bold majestic appearance. The form of Golden Wed- ding is unique; the outer petals droop downward in picturesque irregularity, the centre of the flowers is built high, with broad petals irregularly overlaid, so that although the flowers are so large they are not heavy, solid-looking, like many others. For this reason alone, it will, no doubt, supersede all other yellow varieties with the public. At the exhibitions last fall it was conceded to be the finest yellow variety shown, and it will un- doubtedly retain that position for years to come. 25c. each, $2.25 doz. Large plants 50c. each, $4.50 per doz. Gettysburgh. This is a deep crimson variety and origi- nated as a "sport" from "Omar" in our grounds. The outer petals are broad and drooping, and have a lustrous sheen in the sunlight. The form is flat, with drooping outer petals, which gives it a very graceful appearance. 25c. each, $2.25 doz. Large plants 50c. each, $4.50 doz.
