A day I won't easily forget. I decided to go alone. And see for myself. I took the day just for that. I was impressed buy the gigantic size of the complex. I walked all the way and around. The images spread along the camp left me with an agonizing feeling, I almost cried. Once inside the first gas chamber, in the first Auschwitz camp, I could not stand in there more than a few seconds. It felt like a sick place. Just imagining what had happened inside those square metres. I just couldn't stand it. . Nevertheless, in the openeness of the Birkenau camp, some of the remaining construction elements still posess a photographic quality that's worth the shot, in an effort to forget and cast aside everything else that they represent. . Auschwitz, Poland, Interrail 2018. .
