Title
English: Au Sable Lighthouse View
Description
English:

The view is from the top of the Au Sable Lighthouse looking over other buildings of the light station and out over Lake Superior. The water is clear and rocks are visible under the water.

Au Sable Lighthouse View of the shallow waters of Lake Superior and the Grand Sable Dunes. The Au Sable Lighthouse was built here because of the dangers to navigation. The shallow water extends almost two miles out into Lake Superior and creates a risk to ships. The Grand Sable Dunes and Lake Superior combine to create quickly forming fog banks that also pose a risk to navigation.
