Summary[edit]

Description

Right across the Post and Telegraph Administration, at the entrance of İnebolu Street, one can see a public building designed by a foreign architect. A work by Austrian architect Clemens Holzmeister who worked in Turkey for many years: The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The structure was initially built for the Emlâk ve Eytam Bankası (Bank of Real Estate and Orphans), yet it became to host the Central Bank of the Republic on the orders of Atatürk.
