Summary[edit]

Description

This photograph was taken before the Great Theatre; the building across the street is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A bus is on the move. It is one of the buses purchased from the Soviet Union with olive and white colours. The date should be before the Bus Garage Fire. On the night of October 12, 1946, a fire broke out in the Bus Garage which is currently the Abdi İpekçi Park and 23 buses belonged to the Ankara municipality burned. The capital was left without its buses.
