| Description |
English: At the end of the prom The western end of the promenade at Whitby overlooks Upgang Beach towards Sandsend. Much has been done here in the last 20 years to combat erosion of the boulder clay cliffs, with a new concrete promenade and sea wall protected by rock armour [seen here], whilst the crumbling cliffs have been regraded and drained to prevent further slippage. |
