DescriptionAstoria-based Coast Guardsmen keep Jayhawks flying 130606-G-AV652-023.jpg |
English: Petty Officer 2nd Class Josh Hollingshead (bottom), an aviation maintenance technician, passes a wrench to Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel Bovard, also an AMT, while performing maintenance on a Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aboard Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., June 6, 2013. The air station always has one Jayhawk ready for operations with a flight crew and rescue swimmer. With its external fuel tanks, it is capable of reaching as far as 300 nautical miles offshore allowing Air Station Astoria to conduct missions anywhere in the Thirteenth Coast Guard District.
