Description
日本語: 犬猫用粉末虫下しを飲み水に溶いて鳩に与えた数時間後排泄され腹部羽毛に付着している回虫。

鳩は File:Ascaridia columbae ExpelledByMineralBlock01.jpg と同一個体。
鳩に対する虫下しの情報は少ないであろうから犬猫用虫下し薬の代替使用例として以下に記録しておく。
成分：ピペラジン(水溶性回虫用)、サントニン(難水溶性十二指腸虫用)
用法：犬猫2.5kgに対し1/2包を１日2回までと記されていた。

体重はレース鳩は400g台、野良鳩は300g台と言う情報を得ており、対象が野良鳩の小型の若鳥だったため体重を250gとみなし計算し(哺乳類と鳥類の骨密度差は無視)、体重に見合う1日分の薬の容量を日頃の1日消費量に相当する飲水に溶いて与えた。計量は予め耳かきのスプーン側で一包約60杯である事を確認後行なった。投薬は10日置きに2度は実行予定であったが、回虫排泄の翌日から徐々に元気になり猫ケージから外に出ようと常に暴れる様に成ったため3日後 元いた場所に放鳥し、その後も元気な事を確認済。尚、投薬に先立ち一包分をミネラルウォーターに溶き自ら服用し生薬の甘草に似た味で後味も悪くなく翌日までに体に異変が無い事を確認していた。
