Description
English: Art deco diving board, Coate Water, Swindon, Wiltshire. Put up in 1935 it fell into disuse in 1958 for public health reasons – there were local cases of poliomyelitis - but remains as a local icon. The clump of trees just visible on the hilltop on the left horizon contains the 'Starfish' Control Bunker located in square SU2180.
