Boga Sakthi Amman (ou Boga Shakti : une des formes de Parvati, la parèdre ou consort de Shiva, ) Boga Sakthi est le symbole de la mère universelle dans la tradition Chola, elle est représentée assise dans la pose royale et tenant un lotus. Oeuvre provenant de Kadalangudi XIIè-XIIIè siècle bronze Dans l'Hindouisme, la Shakti est l'énergie omniprésente et donc l'aspect créateur du divin, c'est pourquoi elle est considérée comme femelle. Sans elle, Shiva ne peut rien faire, il doit s'unir à elle pour devenir principe actif (le lingam/Shiva embrassé par le yoni/Parvati). |
