Summary[edit]

Description
English: Part if the Ian McKinnon Flyover in Auckland City, New Zealand. Once constructed to have the future Dominion Road motorway (!) cross New North Road. Thankfully that never happened, but it's still impressive.

This is a pretty long pedestrian tunnel from Aitken Terrace to New North Road on the eastern side of the flyover. An example, really, of how you should NOT build a pedestrian tunnel. Dark, narrow, low, badly maintained. About the only things they got right was to make it dead straight so one can see all the way through, and get enough gradient on it so it's not full of dampness. Still, I don't see it being used much.
