Description
Nederlands: Dagboekaantekeningen in het Latijn over de kermissen van 22 juli 1562, 24 juli 1594, 22 juli 1595 en 1596: het feest van Maria Magdalena (carmisse = kermis) in Utrecht, een pneumatisch muziekinstrument en pop, een struisvogel (met verwijzing naar Plinius' Naturalis Historia) en een kameel in Utrecht. Ook vermelding van de Duitse keizer Maximiliaan II, een synode van de aartsbisschop in Wijk bij Duurstede in verband met het Concilie van Trente, en de toegestane beklimming van de Domtoren in Utrecht. Herodianus wordt geciteerd.

English: Diary entries in Latin about the "kermis" funfairs in Utrecht of July 22, 1562, July 24, 1594, July 22, 1595, and 1596 on the feast of Mary Magdalene, a pneumatic musical instrument and doll, an ostrich (with reference to Plinius' Naturalis Historia) and a camel in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Refer to the Latin transcription above. Also mention of Emperor Maximilian II of Germany, a synod by the archbishop in Wijk bij Duurstede in connection with the Council of Trent, and the permitted ascent of the Dom Tower in Utrecht.
