Description
English: The rocky hill west of Acropolis arising 115 meters above the city. This was tought to haved been an altar or seat; no-one is certain. Near the hill there were also the ruins of the Iobaccheio, a meeeting place, a meeting place for the devotees of an eastern mystical religion, as well as the remains of a Christian church dedicated to St. Dionyus Areopagites. According to legend, the Apostle Paul had hidden in a well found at the site in order to save himself from his pagan persecutors.
