Indeed, it is the blending in storyform and in a remarkably graphic narrative,of a chain of facts so that one obtains a pano-ramic view of the money-changers, their workand some of the results of the same. It is, aswe have observed, too sketchy and wanting infinish and detail which time and patient toilwould have added; but even with its short-comings, The Money-Changers is one of themost convincing and absorbing novels of theseason, and it is one of the most vivid andaccurate pictures of the world of Wall-streetfinanciers and corporation and trust magnatesthat has appeared.
