| Description |
English: Built in 1908, Areline (commonly known as Whore House) was constructed by Ethel Kraft and Hugh Wilson to house their bordello business. Located two blocks from the railroad depot in Ely, Nevada, it was intended to accommodate workers from the Northern Nevada Railroad. It was considered a very elegant establishment.
The New Orleanian style building allowed up to 15 ladies to operate, including 5 rooms in the basement. There were separate exterior doors into each room where a bordello worker was available. The structure features arched brick over the doors and windows, and fancy brick work at the top of the building. Areline was added to the Nevada State Register of Historic Places in 1989.
