Description
English: The Ardennen Poteau '44 Museum is a former museum dedicated to the Battle of the Bulge (The Ardennes Offensive), the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II, lasting for five weeks from 16 December 1944 to 28 January 1945. The small family-owned museum was located in the middle of a former battlefield, where the US 14th Cavalry Group was ambushed by the Nazis on 18 December 1944. It had a rather large collection of military vehicles, artillery, uiforms, weapons, military equipment, etc.
  • Memorial plaque / wall sign displayed on the museum building read:

  • The 7th Armored Division was an armored division of the United States Army that saw distinguished service on the Western Front, from August 1944 until May 1945, during World War II.
