STARTED Concord, Calif., school district has authorizedthe starting of work on drawings for a new $375,-000 grammar school which will consist of 12 class-rooms, an auditorium, cafeteria and kindergarten.Confer, Ponsford & Price of Oakland are the archi-tects. ELECTRONICS Advantages of the San Francisco area as alocation for plants to produce electronic devicesare covered in a special report, The San Fran-cisco Bay Region Electronics Industry. The re-port was submitted to the San Francisco Chamberof Commerce by George C. Tenney, chairman ofthe chambers electronics section. ELMWOOD A new $250,000 grammar school is contemplatedfor Elmwood, Calif., near Stockton. It will have 17classrooms, a cafeteria and craft room. Construc-tion is to be of reinforced concrete with asphalttile floors. Elmore G. Ernest of Stockton is the archi-tect. HARRIS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, havebeen awarded contract for construction of 33 du-plex residences, ten rooms each, at Fresno, Cali-fornia. Cost $600,000.
