CLAREMONT HOTEL. BERKELEY, CALIFORNIAC. W. Dickey. Architect ENGINEERS HOUSING PLANIn keeping with the tendency of the times tomodernize, thereby increasing the value of realproperty and helping to relieve the unemploymentsituation, the Hotel Claremont. Berkeley, has re-cently completed some needed improvements aboutthe hotel and grounds. A new elevator is one ofthe major betterments, while the driveway fromthe Tunnel Road to the front and rear entrances,has been resurfaced and placed in splendid con-dition for guests who have motor cars. The hotel management announces a uniquehousing plan for engineers, contractors and otherswho may be employed on the new Bay Bridgeand other transbay building projects soon to getunderway. The plan includes a large, airy sunlitroom 18x21 feet, with commodious closet andbath, together with private office directly acrossthe hall or adjoining the room. The office roomswill be equipt to suit individual needs with wallspace for maps, overhanging lamps, etc
