our paleblue of white skies and the cool green ofLake Michigan. The colors used, dark red, bright red,the strongest blues and black (too muchblack) with lemon yellow and some largeareas of strong dark yellow, are too hotto please me. But perhaps I am one of those who pre-fer blue to red. Of the significance of the Fair as an ex-hibition of a Century of Progress, it isnot my purpose to speak except to say thatit is crammed with interest for the seriousas well as the more frivolous and no oneshould miss it, be he seeking instrucion ormerely entertainment. The night effects of color and light alonemake an outstanding spectacle which bringsme back to the point I started from. In theatrical parlance the show shouldbe billed about as follows: A Century of ProgressThe World s Greatest Spectacle,Featuring William LightmanAssisted by James Colorboy, and a distinguished company of guards, landscapers, ticket takers and architects. The accompanying sketches were made with afountain pen while sitting in a car. Although some-what roughly done, they will serve to give thereader a very comprehensive idea of the archi-tecture of the place. It.
