n the up-per floor lobbies andserves to bond the in-terior color scheme.An informal touch isgiven to the front bythe distinctive signallanterns of bronze andFrink glass patternedon the pecten motif.The lobbies, each withan integral receptionroom, are treated withTravertine wainscot onblack and gold base.The fronts are flankedwith French Napoleonjambs which support aglazed dental courseand simple cornicemold. Lobby and cor-ridor floors are check-ered, gold on black,and black on gold, rub-ber tile. The owners officesoccupy seventeenfloors. In the lobbyand reception room ofthe twentieth floor,which houses the exec-utive stafif, the Traver-tine is carried to fullheight and the FrenchNapoleon jambs areeffectively fluted. Thewalls of the officialsrooms are paneled incanvas and cedar,glazed to suit individ-ual tastes. The sametreatment is used forthe conference roomon the twenty-secondfloor. This chamber,forty feet in length, isfinished in cream andivory tones. It holds amassive walnut table
