| Description | Workers install a precast bridge approach slab as part of an FHWA, Highways for LIFE supported Iowa DOT accelerated bridge construction (ABC) reconstruction project. The project included replacing the three span superstructure with steel/precast modular units and precast approaches. The existing bridge was replaced in a matter of days using ABC concept versus months if using traditional construction techniques. |
