| Description |
English: Appearances Can Deceive The smooth symmetrical rock on which the Herring Gull is standing is .... not a rock at all. It is in fact the boiler of the 'SS Mickleton' which was wrecked here in (I think) 1929. It is exposed only at very low tides, and over the years has become so encrusted with barnacles and seaweed that you probably would not notice it if you didn't know it was there. |
