Description

Groupe de statues d'Aphrodite, Pan et Éros découvert à Délos en 1904 dans la Maison des Poseidoniastes de Beryttos (Beyrouth) environ 100 avant J.-C. Marbre de Paros

Le dieu Pan surprend Aphrodite nue sortant du bain. Elle le menace avec sa sandale et a un geste de pudeur mais ne semble guère émue. Le Dieu Éros apparaît pour repousser le dieu Pan par les cornes.

Ce jeu érotique est présenté dans la très belle exposition temporaire sur l'Odyssée au musée national d'archéologie à Athènes
