Description
English: Drawing of Wesleyan Mission Station at Aotea c1860s. The Aotea Harbour is a tidal estuary on Waikato’s west coast and is located 27 km south of Raglan Harbour (Whāingaroa). This was where the Wesleyan missionaries Rev. Cort Henry Schnackenberg and his new wife Annie Jane Allen Schnackenberg came to live and work in 1864. This image is from a copy in the Schnackenberg personal family papers.
