Deutsch: Etruskische Graburne aus Terracotta, produziert in Chiusi; auf dem Deckel wird der Tote gezeigt, wie er in der rechten Hand einen Spendenschale hält und zum Mahl gelagert ist, auf der Vorderseite der Urne zeigt ein Schlachtenrelief zwei Krieger, die einen gestürzten Kameraden gegen zwei von rechts kommende Angreifer verteidigen; um 180/50 v. Chr.; heute in der Antikensammlung Würzburg, Inventarnummer H 4731.
English: Etruscan terracotta grave urn, produced at Chiusi; on the lid the deceased is shown mounted to the dinner with a donation cup in his right hand, on the front of the box shows a battle relief of two warriors who defend a fallen comrade against two attackers coming from the right; about 300 BC; now Antikensammlung Würzburg, inventory number L 804. |
