| Description |
Two nights ago I found neat little craters at the centres of quite a few of my seed pots. A few had very obviously had all the seeds eaten - notably Shepherdia rotundifolia - a little known and very striking desert species related to Elaeagnus, and Silphium laciniatum and possibly Aristolochia bianorii. All have quite substantial seeds. The smaller seeds types I can't tell what's gone. Very depressing. It's the excited anticipation of things emerging in spring turning to anxious suspense that's so upsetting. |
