Summary[edit]
DescriptionAnti-McClellan cartoon in his 1864 presidential campaign.jpg |
English: General George B. McClellan was criticized most harshly for his disposition at the Battle of Malvern Hill. McClellan boarded the USS Galena while his soldiers fought and left for Harrison's Landing in Virginia to inspect the place. (McClellan's Army of the Potomac was supposed to be stationed there in the future). The dialogue box reads: "Fight on my brave Soldiers and push the enemy to the wall, from this spanker boom your beloved General looks down upon you."
