| Description |
Español: Anónimo brabanzón (natural de Brabante en los Países Bajos). Retablo de la vida de la Virgen, antes llamado del Descendimiento. Hacia 1515. Procede de la Capilla del Santo Cristo del desaparecido convento de San Francisco de Valladolid donde lo vio fray Matías de Sobremonte en 1660 y lo describió. Obra importada perteneciente a algún taller de Amberes. Se guarda en el Museo Nacional de Escultura. English: Brabant anonymous. Altarpiece of Virgin Mary's life, previously called of the Desention. Circa 1515. It comes from the Chapel of the Holy Christ in the disappeared convent of San Francisco in Valladolid where it was seen by Fray Matías de Sobremonte who described it in 1660. An imported work belonging to an unknown atelier in Antwerp. It is preserved in the National Museum of Sculpture. |
