THREE BEST MILXETS. MILLET, Japanese Barnyard Grass (Panicum Crus Galli). Distinct from other varieties, enormous cropper, grows six to eight feet high, excellent either green or cured as hay. It prefers a moder- ately moist soil and may be sown in an average season from the middle of May until the first of July. Broadcast, at the rate of 25 lbs. per acre, or in drills eighteen inches apart, is lbs. to the acre. Price, per lb., 12 cts.; 25 lbs. for $2.50. —Breck's Japanese (Panicum Miliaceum var.Japon- ica). In growth and appearance somewhat like the best Southern grown Golden Millet, but of superior quality and immensely more productive. Everything considered, we believe it is the best Millet yet introduced. Pk. 50 cts.; bush., #1.50. —True Southern Grown Golden. This millet with- stands drought better than all other varieties, (except our own Japanese millet) and under ordinary condi- tions always produces large crops of very fine quality. The seed we offer is genuine Tennessee grown, is perfectly matured and will produce twice as large a crop, of much better quality than the Golden or German millet of the Western States. Per bush., $1.50. For complete list of Forage Crops and description of Grasses see pages 40 to 50. Special offer No. 3 only applies to Forage Crop seeds. Bees and Bee=Keepers' Supplies. Having many calls from Market Gardeners, owners of Greenhouses, and Bee-keepers, for articles in the Bee Supply line, we have made arrangements with a reliable apiarist to furnish full Swarms of Italian Bees, on Movable frames, in Brood chamber, all ready to be hived. By this method they can be examined at any time. Price upon application. We also have in stock Bee Hives, Section Boxes, Smokers, Brood and Section Foundation, Bee Veils, Rubber Gloves, and many other articles necessary to the successful Bee-keeper. THE DOVETAILED (OR LOCK-CORNER) HIVE. The particular feature of the hive, and hence its suggestive name, is the dove- tailed—or, more properly speaking, the lock corner. Unlike the old-fashioned lap, miter, or halving plan, it will not gap or pull loose, but will successfully resist all climates, and even a California sun. This Hive has been very popular since it was introduced, and is fitted with Danzentaker bottom board and cover. As we ship, it is fitted complete with starters in Brood Chamber and Section Boxes. We have in stock but one size, the eight frame. All Hives set up ready for use. Net price each, $3.00. SECTION HONEY-BOXES. Section Boxes, each, let.; per 100, 75 cts.; per 250, $1.25 ; per 500, $2.oo. Our No. 1 sections are made of the choicest white basswood lumber, and are all perfect in finish, and free from defects. They are not all snow white, but vary from that to a light cream color. Choice honey shows off to best advantage in a section not too white, as it is the honey rather than the wood that the consumer looks at. BINGHAM SMOKER. This is strong, well made, does not clog up, and burns any fuel. It has recently been improved by the addition of a curved snout to prevent fire drop- ping, and a safety attachment to prevent burning the fingers in removing the hot- cone for replenishing. They have wide) shields; have wire handle to cone, and inverted bellows. We carry but one of the many kinds and sizes manufactured, as our experience has shown it to be the most desirable. Large, 2% in., each 70 cts., by mail, 90 cts. Bee Supplies not included in special offers on third page of cover, shall be pleased to quote prices on Bee Supplies not listed above. See Special Offers on third page of cover.
