| Description |
English: Net metering is used on an annual basis to allow solar power generated during the summer to be used during the winter. The meter runs backwards on sunny days and runs forward each night. The consumer only pays for the net difference left over each month. During summer months there is a surplus each month which is carried over until the fall and winter when it is consumed. By spring it all equals out. There are no monthly energy payments all year because the kilowatt hour credits generated during the summer are used during the winter. The only charges are a connection fee to use the grid. |
