Description

The National Science Board (NSB) and National Science Foundation (NSF) presented the Vannevar Bush, Alan T. Waterman, and Public Service awards to honorees at an evening ceremony at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., on May 6, 2014. The honorees spent a few minutes talking with NSF Director France Córdova and NSB Chairman Dan Arvizu before the dinner. Pictured, from left, are: Arthur Caplan, the recipient of the 2014 Public Service Award for an individual, Cynthia Robinson, director of the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s (AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellowships--the recipient of the 2014 Public Service Award for a group, Feng Zhang, the recipient of the 2014 Alan T. Waterman Award, Córdova, Richard Tapia, the recipient of the 2014 Vannevar Bush Award, and Arvizu.
