148 Charles St. Boston
Feby 4th 1914.
Dear Annie Thorp;
When your little Christmas remembrance came to me Edith happened to be here and I was at the moment asking her of your welfare. She said you had been ill at Christmas & later but were now quite well again – at that moment your gift was brought in! We both thought it very pretty and soon [p. 2] found your card! Which amused [her?] very much. Thinking you perhaps heard of its arrival from her I have delayed writing you because I am short [??] with respect to note writing and I was intent upon a few words with you soon.
You have been through so many a such [??] experience, since we met, that I feel everyday words cannot come to me to tell you how deeply I have held you in remembrance through a your joys and your deep=thoughted periods of life. It has [p. 3] been a strength to you to feel still your own father & mother watching over you giving you a calm and a light which can come only from beyond what we see around us here.
Bless you, dear Annie Allegra
From your
Annie Fields
