English: Annan Shawhill railway station (site), Dumfries & Galloway Opened in 1869 by the Solway Junction Railway, later art of the Caledonian Railway, on the line from Kirtlebridge in Scotland to Brayton in England via a long viaduct over the Solway Firth. The station closed to passengers in 1931 and completely in 1955. View south towards the site of the viaduct, and Bowness on Solway (Cumbria). |
