Polski: Jan Matejko przedstawił Annę Jagiellonkę jako wdowę po królu Stefanie Batorym. W 1575 roku Anna okrzyknięta została na Rynku Starego Miasta w Warszawie królową Polski i wielką księżną litewską. 1 maja 1576 Anna Jagiellonka poślubiła na Wawelu Stefana Batorego, a następnie została wraz z nim koronowana. Królowa klęczy w katedralnej kaplicy pogrążona w modlitwie. Ubrana jest w czarny, żałobny strój z białym czepcem na głowie. W rękach trzyma Pismo Święte i różaniec. W tle widoczny renesansowy nagrobek Stefana Batorego, na którym król jest przedstawiony w pozycji leżącej na sarkofagu z głową podpartą na prawej ręce.
