In this volume the compiler has aimed to present, in a convenientlyclassified form, the Anecdotes and Stories of this wonderful man, asnarrated by him to the lowly and the great, in peace and war, at thefireside and bar, in the wilderness and White-house, with that zest andpotency which made Mr. Lincoln such a remarkable man.
