| Description | A typically Andalucian style of fountain on Nazami St., Baku. We are actually very close to the famous Fountain Square, and though there are two or three fountains there, this is not the one the piazza is named after. Nizami Street always had many various fountains, cafes and also had many attractions for children. Fountain Square (not this one but just a few steps away) was also known as a place of free artists' gathering, the place where tourists could buy very beautiful pictures of Old Baku, antiques and souvenirs. Nowadays there aren't too many artists and souvenirs, the fountains have been reconstructed and unfortunately, Fountain Square seems to have lost its old charm. (Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017) |
