Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ancient Church, Kincardine O'Neil. This ruined church dates back to the 12th Cent and was adjacent to a hospice founded by Alan of Durward. It lies on the old road between Mar and Strathmore and was located at a strategic ford and ferry across the Dee. Edward 'Longshanks' camped in the adjacent field on one of his campaigns to hammer the Scots.
