FEATURED AUTHOR In her widely praised book “A Good and Perfect Gift,” the author confronts challenges she never imagined when her first child Penny is born with Down Syndrome. Initially fearful and crushed, Becker reveals in her book that during the first few years of Penny’s life, she began to reconsider what she valued in herself and others and learned to redefine perfection. With clarity, honesty and gentle wisdom, she shares how, through her faith in God, and with the love and support of her husband, family and friends, she found hope and joy in her daughter’s life. Also the author of “Penelope Ayers: A Memoir,” Becker is a graduate of Princeton University and Princeton Theological Seminary.
