Description
English: Soldiers in a destroyed church, France. Four soldiers sit half-way up a mound of rubble and are surrounded by more banks of rubble. The soldiers sit with supplies and there is a broken carriage in the background.

Images of ruined churches and cathedrals are common amongst World War I propaganda photographs, used for their emotive quality.
