Summary[edit]
DescriptionAmmonite on Kilve Beach I - geograph.org.uk - 342219.jpg |
English: Ammonite on Kilve Beach I This is the remains of a fossil ammonite from about 200 million years ago. It is exposed on the shale at the water's edge on Kilve beach. These spiral traces will be gradually eroded away by the sea and the abrasive action of the sand, but as they disappear so hidden ones will be revealed.
