It H at From Home to Home in Cuba For several years Mr. Pedro Pozo has beencirculating Christian literature in the Spanishlanguage as a missionary colporter of theAmerican Tract Society in Cuba. He gives areport of his activities during a recent monthki the following words: I spent the first week in the city of Havana,where I saw heartrending poverty and distressas the result of indolence, gambling and othervices. I held many conversations with the in-different and the unbelieving. As 1 went fromhouse to house many said to me, We have notthe wherewithal with which to buy food andpay rent, and how can we buy books? Buthere and there hearts were opened to hear mymessage, and I tried to leave at least a tractwherever it would be received. From Havana I went cast to Jaruco, andvisited the sugar mills of Loteria and Carmen.Going on to Santa Cruz and Cancsa I held sev-eral services in the country districts, always try-ing to explain clearly some portion of the Scrip-

At SanAntonio I held a meeting with twenty-four per-sons present, to whom I read the NinetiethPsalm and explained its sublime teaching. Atthe close of the service I sold several books andwas cordially urged to repeat my visit. Thence I proceeded to Matanzas, where Ilabored for two days and then went on toLemonar, visiting two sugar mills and circu-lating several volumes. At Juamacaro, SanFrancisco and Juneo I held services, at eachof which at least a dozen or more persons werepresent. At Junilla I worked for one day and I spentfour days in Cardenas and its environs, holdingconversations on religious subject with the peo-ple in the homes and stores. In one place theysaid, Yes, the books you carry are good. Someother day we will buy, when you come back.I answered, T do not know that I can return,nor whether I shall live to do so.
