It is a delight to follow sucha narrow path wherever found, whether in the States or theCanadian Rockies, but it is especially so in the latter, for they have been little ex-plored and they represent,in majesty and snowy caps,the sublimity of the greatAmerican ranges. Manya narrow pathway one canfollow, worn in places bythe hoofs of horses, clearlymarked in open meadows,always winding to avoidsome obstacle and peepingout when least expected onsome avalanche track orsteep cliff. Perhaps a de-serted bear cave by its sideshows where Bruin has hadwinter quarters, or thefriendly porcupine almostblocks all progress. Allsuggests the rapture of anew discovery, and even awell-worn trail affords de-lights to those who havenot tried the intricacies ofthe little used mountainpathways.
