It will be noticed that the name ofthe Roentgen Society of the UnitedStates is changed so as to read TheRoentgen Ray Society of America.This was made necessary to complywith the Constitution, which admitsactive members from the continent andespecially from Canada, where the so-ciety has a healthy contingency. This society was organized in Febru-ary, 1900, in Dr. Robarts office, St.Louis, in response to 100 invitationssent out to physicians by Dr. J. Rudis-Jicinsky, of Cedar Rapids, la. A presi-dent and secretary were chosen for thetemporary organization and a regularmeeting fixed for December 13 and 14,in New York City, in the Grand CentralPalace. Announcement was made through The American X-Ray Journaland the medical and electrical presseverywhere. Voluntary, papers weresent to the secretary and a most excel-lent program prepared.
