Summary[edit]

Description This lovely ambrotype is housed in a Critchlow union case. Condition of the image is a little affected by some areas of degradation, but thankfully not affecting the main areas. From the overall image, the plain, reasonably heavy mat, and the case, I believe this is probably American and late 1850s, possibly early 1860s.
