Description
De Nederlandse maagd draagt een wapenschild met de Nederlandse leeuw en staat voor een boom met oranje sinaasappels, een verwijzing naar het Nederlandse koningshuis. Ontwerp voor een wandschildering boven de voordeur naar de Koninklijke wachtkamer in het Centraal Station in Amsterdam, vervaardigd door George Sturm, die op verzoek van Pierre Cuypers een groot deel van de decoratie van het Rijksmuseum en het Centraal Station heeft ontworpen.
