Summary[edit]

Description
English: All Saints, Godshill: rood The rood was traditionally a screen with a crucifixion scene above it, that separated the nave of a church from the chancel. Most of the actual crucifixes were destroyed in the Reformation and this one is probably 19th century. The figures either side of Christ are conventionally St John (in red) and Mary the Mother of Jesus (in blue).
