DescriptionAll-Marine Warrior Team field athletes get boost from Olympic hopeful coach DVIDS276298.jpg |
English: Erik Bildstein, All-Marine Warrior Games Team field coach, hands a shot to U.S. Marine Cpl. Rejy Bacchus, All-Marine Warrior Games Team field athlete, during their first practice together at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 3. Bildstein, a former Marine sergeant and college field star who's currently ranked the 14th best discus thrower in the U.S., arrived midway through the Marine Corps' two-week training camp being held in preparation for the inaugural Warrior Games. The games are offering approximately 200 recovering active duty and medically retired service members from each branch of service the opportunity to compete against one another in a variety of Olympic-style events. The games are scheduled to be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, May 10-14. |
