Description
Русский: Благовещенская церковь Александро-Невской лавры. Голицын Александр Михайлович 1718-1783. Князь, генерал-фельдмаршал, генерал-адъютант, действительный камергер, сенатор. Главнокомандующий Санкт-Петербурга с января по декабрь 1775 г. и в 1780-1783 гг. Принадлежал к старинному роду. Командующий армией в русско-турецкой войне (1768-1774).

Скульптурный памятник. Мрамор. Скульптор Ф.Г. Гордеев, 1788 г. Надпись: "Во славу всемогущего Бога сей печальный памятник генерал фельдмаршалу князю Александру Михайловичу Голицыну полезно Отечеству и ближним пожившем 65 лет и 10 месяцов и 24 дни скончавшему течение своей жизни купно и добродетельных дел 1783 года октября и дня воздвигнула неутешно оплакивающая его смерть супруга княгиня Дарья Алексеевна урожденная княжна Гагарнина в лето от Р.Х. M DCCLXXXVIII".
